SPECIAL MEETING

SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL TO DISCUSS MATTERS RELATING TO THE CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION.

Present: Stacey Cline, Bonnie Enlow, Margaret Moore, Faith Portman, Trina Summers

Mayor Tinnell called meeting to order at 5:32 and asked for a motion to go into executive session to discuss personnel and litigation. Stacey Cline made motion to adjourn to executive session. Margaret Moore 2^nd. Motion carried 5-0.

Bonnie Enlow made motion to return to regular session. Trina Summers 2^nd. Motion carried 5-0.

Mayor Tinnell announced that a decision had been reached on Civil Service issues. He read a press release stating that he is exercising his authority under Section 8 of Ordinance 006-690 and removed the two remaining members of the Shepherdsville Civil Service Commission. Mayor Tinnell stated he believes that the recent court decision involving the Commission and actions of the members and an agent of the Commission have left him no other option. Mayor Tinnell also stated that he had given the Council a list of five names so they may select three new members of the Commission. He stated the names will be released Monday night (March 12^th) and the Council will vote.

At this time Mayor Tinnell asked for a motion to adjourn. Bonnie Enlow made motion to adjourn. Stacey Cline 2^nd. Motion carried 5-0. Meeting adjourned at 7:16 p.m.
