Mayor Tinnell called the meeting to order at 12:08 p.m.
In attendance were Council members Don Cundiff, Scott Ellis, Bonnie Enlow, Larry Hatfield, and Alan Wetzel. Tony Miller was absent.
Mayor Tinnell said this meeting has been called to award the bids for the South Bullitt Regional Interceptor Project and the Wastewater treatment plant expansion.
Mr. Hatfield stated he does want the city to have the ability to negotiate with all of the contractors in regards to the City purchasing pipe and other items if we can get them at a better price in order to save money.
Motion was made by Mr. Ellis to accept the bid for Line “A” from MAC Construction in the amount of $ 2,657,621.22. Mr. Wetzel 2nd. Motion carried 5-0.
Motion was made by Mr. Cundiff to accept the bid for Line “B” from Team Contracting not to exceed the amount of $ 2,864,125.00. Mr. Wetzel 2nd. Motion carried 5-0.
Motion was made by Ms. Enlow to accept the bid for Line “C” from MAC Construction not to exceed the amount of $ 1,684,516.00. Mr. Ellis 2nd. Motion carried 5-0.
Motion was made by Mr. Hatfield to accept the bid for the Wastewater Treatment plant expansion not to exceed the amount of $ 15,300,000.00 and with the agreement that we are only proceeding with Phase 1 at this time and the city has the right to negotiate with the contractor. Mr. Wetzel 2nd. Motion carried 5-0.
Motion to adjourn at by Ms. Enlow, Mr. Hatfield 2nd. Motion carried 5-0. Meeting adjourned at 12:20 p.m.
