MINUTES REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING CITY OF SHEPHERDSVILLE, MONDAY, December 14, 2009 Police officer Mike Miller said the invocation. The Pledge of Alliance to the flag was said. Mayor Tinnell called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. In attendance were Council members Don Cundiff, Scott Ellis, Bonnie Enlow, Larry Hatfield, Tony Miller and Alan Wetzel. Mr. Ellis made the motion to dispense of the reading of the minutes from the November 23, 2009 City Council meeting. Ms. Enlow 2nd. Motion carried 6-0. Ms. Enlow made the motion to approve the minutes as presented. Mr. Ellis 2nd. Motion carried 6-0. Mayor Tinnell announced that “Light up Shepherdsville” was at First Street Park and it was a great success. There will be a parade at 6:00 pm and the light up will be at 6:30. John Bradley and Mapsync made a presentation to the Mayor and Council members about special equipment that needs to be purchased to do the mapping for the City. Old Business: none New Business: Attorney Bill Wilson read Resolution 009-015 renaming 2nd Street to Joe B Hall Avenue. Motion to accept by Mr. Cundiff. Mr. Ellis 2nd. Motion carried 6-0. Attorney Bill Wilson did the first reading of Ordinance #009-778 regarding Sunday alcohol sales in restaurants. Motion by Mr. Hatfield to pay the bills for December. Ms. Enlow 2nd. Motion carried 6-0. Sign-in Speakers: Randy Pace advised the council that he feels the churches failed in responding to the vote on Sunday alcohol sales and he wanted to apologize for that. Planning & zoning update- Daryl Lee-said there was a text amendment done in regards to stormwater and that it was not necessary for the City to take any action on it. Board of Adjustment update- Duane Price – none Departmental reports: none Council reports: All the council wished everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year and thanked them for what they have done. Motion by Mr. Ellis at 7:03 pm to go to executive session to discuss litigation. Mr. Wetzel 2nd. Motion carried 6-0. Motion to reconvene at 8:35 pm to return from executive session by Mr. Cundiff. Mr. Ellis 2nd. Motion carried 6-0. Attorney Bill Wilson stated that in regards to litigation no decisions were made. Motion by Mr, Hatfield to allow John Bradley to purchase the GSI mapping system and equipment and computer but the cost is not to exceed $ 7500. Mr. Ellis 2nd. Motion carried 6-0. Motion to adjourn at by Mr. Cundiff, Mr. Ellis 2nd. Motion carried 6-0.
