MINUTES REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING CITY OF SHEPHERDSVILLE, MONDAY, January 25, 2010 Councilmember Don Cundiff said the invocation. The Pledge of Alliance to the flag was said. Mayor Tinnell called the meeting to order at 6:35 p.m. In attendance were Council members Don Cundiff, Scott Ellis, Bonnie Enlow, Larry Hatfield, Tony Miller and Alan Wetzel. Mr. Ellis made the motion to dispense of the reading of the minutes from the January 11, 2010 City Council meeting. Mr. Cundiff 2nd. Motion carried 6-0. Mr. Hatfield made the motion to approve the minutes as presented. Mr. Ellis 2nd. Motion carried 6-0. Old Business: Mr. Ellis made a motion to table Ordinance 009-777-Civil Service until the February 8th meeting because Attorney Bill Wilson was absent. Mr. Wetzel 2nd. Motion carried 6-0. New Business: Motion was made by Mr. Hatfield to approve payment of bills for January. Ms. Enlow 2nd. Motion carried 6-0 Sign-in Speakers: June Daugherty from the YMCA address the council on the needs of their organization in regards to soccer fields. Several Councilmembers thanked her for her dedication and hard work for the citizens of Shepherdsville. Planning & zoning update- Daryl Lee-none Board of Adjustment update- Duane Price – none Departmental reports: Jim McAuliffe reported that the property he has been working on demolishing on Shannon Lane has several liens on it and those have to be cleared prior to demolition. He also announced that April 16 at 3 p.m. will be the ceremony designating Joe B. Hall Avenue. More details will be announced later. Council reports: Mr. Hatfield asked about the construction on Lakeview Drive. Jr. Bright responded that they are waiting for the weather to clear in order to finish this part of the project. Mr. Ellis said he has been asked why the bill list is no longer placed on the back table. City Clerk Maxine Jeffries stated that it is not required and that she stopped doing it quite a while ago to cut down on paper and copying costs. Mr. Cundiff commented that the Christmas Decorations are still up on Buckman Street and suggested they be taken down. Motion by Mr. Cundiff at 7:00 p.m. to go to executive session to discuss a personnel issue. Mr. Wetzel 2nd. Motion carried 6-0. Motion by Mr. Ellis to reconvene at 7:10 p.m. Mr. Hatfield 2nd. Motion carried 6-0. Mayor Tinnell announced that a personnel issue was discussed but no decisions were made. Motion to adjourn at by Mr. Miller, Mr. Ellis 2nd. Motion carried 6-0.
