MINUTES REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING
CITY OF SHEPHERDSVILLE,
MONDAY, May 10, 2010
Officer Mike Miller said the invocation.
The Pledge of Alliance to the flag was said.
Mayor Tinnell called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m.
In attendance were Council members Don Cundiff, Scott Ellis, Bonnie Enlow, Larry Hatfield, Tony Miller and Alan Wetzel.
Mr. Ellis made the motion to dispense of the reading of the minutes from the April 26, 2010 City Council meeting. Mr. Cundiff 2nd. Motion carried 6-0. Mr. Hatfield made the motion to approve the minutes as presented. Mr. Wetzel 2nd. Motion carried 6-0.
Mayor Tinnell announced that the National Day of Prayer at First Street Park was a success. There was approximately 350 people in attendance.

New Business:
Attorney Bill Wilson read the first reading of Ordinance 010-779 amending zoning for Betty Clark and Jerry Fleener at the corner of West Blue Lick Road and Bryant Lane. Docket #2010Z-08
Attorney Bill Wilson read the first reading of Ordinance 010-780 establishing qualifications for wrecker services in the City of Shepherdsville.

Departmental reports:
Chief Brad Whittaker announce that the Division of Air Quality has set a not burn in effect for May 1st thru September 30. Any permits to burn have to go thru the Division of Air Quality.
Captain Bernardi announced that the grant that was approved at the last council meeting has been submitted and we now have to wait for approval.
Jim AcAulliffe presented the council with some pictures of foreclosed property that he is working on.
Council reports:
Mr. Cundiff commented that he wishes all the candidates good luck in the primary on May 18th.
Mr. Ellis asked about the progress on the speed humps on Carpenter Street. Chuck Keith said he has spoken to the residents and they all agree that it will be ok to install them. Mr. Ellis also asked about the debris that is in the river under the railroad bridge. The Mayor said that it is CSX responsibility and that perhaps Mr. Ellis should call them.
Ms. Enlow said she got an email in March from a resident in Oak Grove Subdivision in regards to the conditions of the roads there. Chuck Keith said that the developer patched some holes last week and will pave in the very near future.
Mr. Wilson advised that the cable franchise agreement has expired and he is in the process of working on a new agreement. He stated the new one will need to be more comprehensive.
Motion to adjourn at by Mr. Miller, Mr. Wetzel 2nd. Motion carried 6-0. Meeting adjourned at 7:04 p.m.
