MINUTES REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING
CITY OF SHEPHERDSVILLE,
MONDAY, October 11, 2010
Captain Ken Bernardi said the invocation.
The Pledge of Alliance to the flag was said.
Mayor Tinnell called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m.
In attendance were Council members Don Cundiff, Scott Ellis, Bonnie Enlow, Larry Hatfield, Tony Miller and Alan Wetzel.
Mr. Cundiff made the motion to dispense with the reading of the minutes from the September 27, 2010 City Council meeting. Mr. Wetzel 2nd. Motion carried 6-0. Mr. Ellis made the motion to approve the minutes as presented. Mr. Wetzel 2nd the motion. Motion carried 6-0.
Mayor Tinnell announced that the hours for trick or treating for Halloween, Sunday, October 31, 2010 would be from 6 p. m. until 9 p.m.

Chief Doug Puckett reported that there is still an ongoing investigation about the case where the individual exposed himself to the children. He said that the person who was identified at the meeting by the person who complained was not the correct person and has been cleared. They are still looking for the correct person.
Captain Ken Bernardi explained the new 12 hours shift schedule that the police department has started. They work 4 – 5 people on a shift now verses the 3 on the 8 hour shift schedule.
Captain Dan Patchin discussed the information technology that is used in Criminal Investigations.

Sandy Larimore- reported on the success of 2nd Sunday which was held at First Street Park. She thanked the City for their help and presented the City with a Proclamation that Judge Roberts had given her at the ceremony.

Council reports:
Mayor Tinnell said Cattleman’s Steakhouse will be holding a press conference next week on the opening of one of their restaurants in Shepherdsville. He also announced that Governor Brashear was at Cedar Grove Elementary discussing the widening of Highway 480 and that they expect to have it ready to bid in November.
Larry Hatfield reported that Phase III of the interceptor project is ready to obtain easements from property owners and that he is working with Attorney John Wooldridge on them. He estimates that the project will be ready to bid after the first of the year.
Scott Ellis inquired if the speed “bump” on Carpenter Street will be re-installed. Mayor Tinnell said there was a one inch speed “hump” there and that they did not expect there would be any changes.
Don Cundiff said that he attended 2nd Sunday in the park and that it was a great day. He also announced that he and the committee will be meeting soon to start on the Health insurance renewal. One possible way to save money is if employee’s spouses are covered by their employer that possibly we would not.
Motion to adjourn by Mr. Ellis. Mr. Hatfield 2nd. Motion carried 6-0 Meeting adjourned at 7:10 p.m.
